When I arrived in Shanghai almost two years ago, I was at a point in my life that I really needed to try something new. The EMA program gave me the opportunity to expand my knowledge in Economics and to understand the mentality of people from different countries and cultural backgrounds. I am grateful for this experience and I feel ready to continue my life with a very different mindset. I sincerely wish happiness and health to all of you.

I am glad to have spent two years at Fudan University. We had very nice teachers. I learned a lot during these period. Also, I enjoyed the time I spent with my classmates a lot. Especially the fact that a lot of different nationalities were represented in our class made it very interesting. I want to thank my advisor, my teachers, as well as all my classmates for their support and the time we have spent at Fudan University.

I very much enjoyed my graduate studies at the Fudan University, where I am lucky enough to have the best teaching staff that I could imagine.

Graduation day is the culmination of 2 years of studying. I have spent these years studying because I realize that education is a means to attaining a good career and perceive it to lead to a better way of life.After graduation some of students may return to their home town, whilst others remain living away from home to continue studies or work. I hope all of us could keep in touch. Because, in my opinion, it is one of the main goal of studying abroad, to make international relations with other guys. At this significant stage in my life, I am experiencing the transition from being a student through to a professional who will soon be working in the ‘real’ world. And I will do my best to achieve success.

I’ve been in Fudan for one year to finish my double degree with Groningen University. It has been an awesome experience; I’ve learned a lot about the Chinese economy, culture, and language, met new people from all around the world, and experienced how it is to live in one of the largest cities on earth. I would definitely do it once again when I would get the chance; it has been one of the best times of my life!

Going to China has always been a dream of me since early childhood, one that luckily has come true. I feel blessed to have been able to live in Shanghai for one year together with my girlfriend. Of course living in China was sometimes challenging and frustrating because of the bureaucracy, the customer-friendliness, overcrowded subways and slow internet. But, I enjoyed the whole journey from the Bund to the Great Wall and from the Terracotta Army to Qi Shan in Fuzhou. In the end I can only say that studying in China was a real privilege, one that I will cherish the rest of my life.

My time in Shanghai has been incredible. I have had some great experiences both inside and outside the university and met great people. Nobody knows what the future will bring, but probably I will be back to this wonderful city soon. For now I would like to quote something inspirational (like students are supposed to in graduation talks right) Its a speech by Sylvester Stallone as Rocky that can be applied to the period that students experience after graduation. Nobody is gonna hit as hard as life, but it
ain’t how hard you can hit. It’s how hard you
can get hit and keep moving forward. It’s how
much you can take, and keep moving forward.
That’s how winning’s done. Fear is not what's important, it's how you deal with it. It would be like asking a marathon runner if they feel pain. It's not a matter of whether you feel it, it's how you manage it.

It was a great adventure and happy time, I will never forget the time in Fudan and Shanghai.

I would like to thank all the employees and fellow students at the EMA program for making this master degree both fun and educational.And I believe any words will not be sufficient to express the gratitude to my Chinese buddy 赵哲锋 for his help and friendship. Finally I would like to thank to my lovely wife Sunkyung and cute daughter Lahee, for their support, patience and love.

I am truly happy that we all successfully finished our thesis work, and now we are about to graduate. As a one-year course student, I feel sad that it was quite short time to assimilate into China and wholly enjoy life here. For last one year, I met bunch of amazing people. I would like to express my appreciation to all for the good memories. I will keep the memories as long as I can. I would like to finish this message by saying this. Looks like we all made it! I am very gratefully acknowledge that all professor taught us very well. It's a good opportunity to understand about China's economy. And It's great chance to enjoy shanghai life.

My time at Fudan taught me patience, independence and gave me a good understanding of Chinese norms and values, which I'm certain will help me in my future career. I wish my fellow students all the best in their careers and hope we will keep in touch. I also collected a lot of stamps and practiced my signature during my time at Fudan.

Gestalt refers to what is greater than the sum of its parts. The individual experiences and memories I've had -- teachers and friends, the late nights spent studying, and the mornings full of quiet confidence -- all of them combined have filled my heart with strength. I can say, proudly, that I am honored to be a graduate of Fudan University.

Foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my supervisor Dr. Yin Xiangshuo and all the respected professors of Fudan University to support me in order to successively completion of my Master degree in Chinese economy from Fudan University.

Beside my professors, I would like to thank to the Chinese scholarship council and Chinese government who provided me full scholarship and an opportunity to study EMA- Chinese economy program for two years in china.

I learned many things about development in china since reform and opening up. I have observed that graduating from such an honorable institution is a matter of pride for any student and I am very happy that I am going to be one of those lucky fellows.
